Finally at last I am in a position to publish to you good people all the details up to the end of Summer 2009.  Some minor bits of information are incomplete, but now very little.

For the Christmas concert John confirms that he wants 4 1st V, 3 2nd V, 2 Viola, 3 cellos, 1 DB, 4 Horns, normal woodwind, 3 trumpets, 3 trombones and a tuba.  I am told that this band can fit in.  Our plans for February 2009 are now virtually complete and it looks like it will be a really great event.

Now the full details for the remaining events are clear.  Note:-  The February concert is now on 8th February 2009 as originally planned.  We have hired the Broadway Theatre.:-

AGM 2008 Information

You might be pleased to note that all the present committee have volunteered to stand again, and this provides the full line up required by the constitution.  However, we have ambitions to give our youth policy some real meaning rather than just "lip service" and would welcome another volunteer to be co-opted to assist on that.  Also, we are aware that some members of the committee may have to leave the area in the not very distant future, and there is a distinct possibility that we may have some "holes" in the organisation in the future.  Therefore, if you feel you would like to contribute to our efforts, please get in touch anyway.  New blood is essential.

Section Representatives

The following are the Section Representatives.  Their function is:-

a)    To act as a conduit for passing information to the Committee

b)    To contact members of the section and ascertain the make up of the section for each concert

c)    To pass the list of names to Anna Money for inclusion in the programmes (and to fill in the lists in the website)

I am very grateful for their agreement to do this for CPSO.  Thanks very much.
