The Friends of the CPSO are active supporters of the orchestra.  The annual membership fee for Friends is £10 single, or £15 for a couple.  These funds help financially towards the staging of the concerts.  In return the Friends have advance notice of concert dates and the programme, plus a chance of early purchase of tickets at a concessionary rate.

The Friends also receive an invitation to attend a rehearsal prior to the concert, and are able to see for themselves the players’ hard work and dedication.  From time to time the orchestra puts on special Friends’ events, which are most enjoyable occasions,  plus, of course,  you have the opportunity to mix with the players.  The new venue for the concerts is the Voyager School at Walton, an excellent concert venue, acoustics in the concert hall are good and the tiered seating provides a clear view from all sections.  It is on a good bus route and there is ample secure car parking on site.  As a Friend you can get involved in the Front of House activities prior to a concert, which we now have to provide at the Voyager School. All of which strengthens our relationship with the players and there is an increasing sense that we have an important  role to play in the orchestra’s future.  Over the years we have experienced some very memorable concerts, and we look forward to continuing our support for the orchestra and extending our activities in this and future seasons.
