What better way to spend a summer afternoon than in the
company of the City of Peterborough Symphony Orchestra under the baton of
Russell Keable in the magnificent Broadway Theatre? CPSO will kick off
with a Smetana’s lively “Bartered Bride” overture will kick the concert
off with a bang, and then CPSO will wing its sprightly way in the company
of the talented virtuoso, Katy Smith, who will perform Mendelssohn’s
Violin Concerto. It finishes with Dvorak’s sunny 6th Symphony,
ideal for reflecting the relaxed liveliness of the season and to be the
perfect prelude to the cool of the summer evening. |
