Sponsorship

The cost of staging a typical concert at the prestigious Broadway Theatre is very high. Items such as the hiring of sheet music, rehearsal rooms and occasionally special instruments, together with professional fees for the conductor and leader of the orchestra all stack up.

We have also been very fortunate to engage a number of highly talented concerto soloists, including the world famous cellist, Alexander Baillie and the superb violinist Tasmin Little, and these all add to our costs..

Ticket sales cover only a part of these costs. The orchestra is pleased to have received support from Peterborough City Council for coaching of players under the new "Music in the City" initiative.  However, it receives no other funding from the lottery or the government and relies for support from private companies.

The CPSO invites you to consider sponsoring the orchestra by making a donation for part or whole cost of a single concert or, more prestigiously, for a series of concerts. It is essential for the CPSO to seek support from businesses with whom the orchestra can discuss a suitable sponsorship package.

At this time we would particularly like to show our appreciation for the sponsors for the Mahler in the Cathedral event on 19th April 2008, who are listed in our Links page.

Please email Heather Reid for more information
